Lauren Chase

Therapy Intern

she/her/hers

Lauren is a clinical social work student in her final year of graduate school at Boston College. As an intern therapist, she is grateful to offer financially accessible care for those seeking therapy without insurance benefits. Passionate about holistic healing, Lauren incorporates yoga and guided meditations into her clinical work. She is a registered yoga teacher (RYT200). Prior to entering the mental health field, she worked in nonprofit community engagement.

With an integrative and intuitive approach, Lauren draws from person-centered therapy, dialectical behavioral therapy, emotionally focused therapy, somatic practices and mindfulness. She is currently studying Internal Family Systems and is also influenced by attachment theory. She is passionate about helping individuals, couples and groups cultivate curiosity, insight, presence, connection and ease.

Lauren strives to offer HAES-aligned, fat positive, neurodiversity, gender and sexuality affirming care rooted in cultural humility. She prioritizes building genuine, empathetic therapeutic relationships with clients from a diversity of backgrounds. She is interested in working with clients struggling with depression, anxiety, trauma, eating disorders, ADHD and identity issues. Lauren believes that when we reach out for support, we are engaging in a courageous act to deepen connection, healing, self-love, and liberation.

Because she is an intern, Lauren cannot accept insurance for therapy sessions. We offer a payment of $40/session to work with an intern, but unfortunately this is not reimbursable by insurance.
