Max McMahon, LCSW

Max holds a master's degree in social work from Boston University and has specialized in conflict resolution and mediation practice in school and community-based settings.

Max is a conversational therapist who uses empathetic listening, guided questions and natural curiosity to elicit mindful and honest reflection. With an emphasis on identifying patterns of thought and behavior and understanding the larger narratives of one’s life, Max sees therapy as an active pathway forward, especially during uncertain and anxious times. Using an array of therapeutic approaches and techniques, Max focuses on conscientious problem-solving and addressing dilemmas of all kinds.

Max has worked with elementary, high school, and college students, and with families providing a broad array of support addressing substance abuse, mood and anxiety issues, crisis stabilization, relationship challenges, inertia, life transitions and workplace and school adjustment concerns.
