Anney Barrett's counseling style is warm, thoughtful, and compassionate. She deeply believes that every person deserves opportunities to explore their inner life in a safe and supportive space, and that engaging in psychotherapy is an intelligent and courageous step toward a life with more connection, meaning, and joy. 

 

Anney received a master's degree in mental health counseling from Lesley University. She is also an active freelance musician with a graduate degree in performance, and is versed in the emotional and practical challenges faced by artists. Anney is passionate about providing resources and support for the mental and emotional health of pregnant women and parents. She is a certified teacher-mentor through the national childbirth education curriculum Our Baby Class.

Anney is working toward independent licensure as a mental health professional. During that time, she is operating under the license of her clinical supervisor.
