she/her/hers

My is a licensed mental health counselor, specializing in work related to intimate partner violence and cultural identity (specifically within the Asian diaspora). My received her master's degree in counseling from Boston College and has worked in a variety of settings from schools to community mental health clinics. She has over a decade worth of experience working with survivors of domestic and sexual violence. Her social justice values inform her intersectional work, particularly around systemic/institutional oppression and for clients identifying with marginalized backgrounds.

My believes in connecting with clients through theories like Relational Cultural Therapy (RCT) and positive and self psychology, while also empowering clients to reframe unhelpful thoughts through theories like trauma informed-CBT and motivational interviewing. She has worked with various populations from pre-K to college students and adults of all ages with a variety of mental health concerns including chronic mental health and addiction. Through these experiences, My has worked significantly with trauma, depression, anxiety, bipolar disorder and more in addition to her areas of specialization.
