May is a final year graduate student at Boston College's School of Social Work. Her style of therapy is client-centered, warm and relational. May seeks to foster an environment of compassion, trust and collaboration with her clients and believes in letting them guide the sessions.
May has had a range of clinical experiences, from working as a counselor on a crisis hotline to working as a social work intern with youth at a Boys & Girls' Club. She continues to be humbled by her clients' resiliency and honored by their willingness to be vulnerable with her.
Upon graduating, May hopes to work in a community setting such as a primary care center or a college counseling center. She wants to utilize Narrative Therapy practices, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy techniques and a social justice lens to inform her clinical approaches. Outside of her work at Boston College and Looking Glass, May enjoys doing Pilates, cooking, dancing and tending to her plants.
Because she is an intern, May cannot accept insurance for therapy sessions. We offer a payment of $40/session to work with an intern, but unfortunately this is not reimbursable by insurance.
