Vera is a Licensed Mental Health Counselor (LMHC), a Registered Yoga Teacher (RYT-200) and Certified in Dialectical Behavior Therapy (C-DBT). She holds a master's degree in clinical mental health counseling with a specialization in trauma from Lesley University, where she also earned her bachelor's in counseling and art therapy.

Prior to joining Looking Glass Counseling, Vera worked in a wide variety of clinical settings, including inpatient, residential and intensive outpatient programs. She also worked in partial hospitalization programs specializing in trauma, LGBTQIA+ individuals, young adult transitions and substance use.

She uses an integrative style, combining traditional talk therapy with expressive arts and somatic (body-centered) techniques to help clients explore the mind-body connection. Vera provides a gentle space to explore past trauma and current life stressors while offering structure and accountability. She's not afraid to be direct, and she'll call out unhelpful patterns with compassion.

Vera enjoys leading both group and individual therapy and is well-versed in visual art therapy, mindfulness, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Exposure and Response Prevention (ERP), Cognitive Processing Therapy (CPT) and Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT). Her international background allows her to connect with individuals from diverse cultural backgrounds. Vera specializes in working with adults struggling with trauma, depression, anxiety, OCD and substance use—helping them feel unstuck, find radical acceptance and live a more fulfilled life.
